Caz’s wonderful nature has captured our hearts; his desire to please and enthusiasm for life is very endearing. I am not certain that he knows he is a big dog, his favorite playmates are half his size. When we go for walks and come across toy dogs, he sits down and waits for them to approach, if that doesn’t work he lays down to make himself as non threatening and small as possible so they will play with him, trying ever so hard to convince them he means no harm, tail wagging furiously. Miniature poodles are his favorite he has been begging me to get one since he met his good friend Bertie-CH Evo's Guess Who at Lyric …who knows, maybe one day....

His first adventure into the show ring was at six months old, he had a ton of fun and took Winners Dog for his first point. We brought Caz out again at 10 months old, in a very large entry at the Renaissance dog show in Chilliwack, BC. On our first day out under judge Polly Smith, he was awarded with BOW for 4 points and Best Puppy in Group, thank you so much for this fantastic start to our weekend! On Saturday Caz won Best Puppy in Breed and on Sunday he took BOW for another 4 points and finished with Best Puppy in Show, THANK YOU to Dr. Robert Smith for this amazing win from the Bred by Exhibitor class!!

We decided to send Caz to the Poodle Club of America Show in Maryland, USA. He traveled with Mary-Jo Winters of Wintergarden Poodles (his sires owner) and Lynne Galloway of Lyric Poodles, they delivered him to Ann Raraigh to be shown in the Senior Puppy class. Caz made me very proud by placing 2nd in a large competitive class under judge Michel Dachel, right behind PCA’s Winners Dog! What an incredible win!

Our next show was the Victoria Island Dog Fanciers show in Saanichton. Caz won Best Puppy in Group all four days! Followed by three Best of Breeds, two Group Seconds (Judge: Tempest Deptuch and David Markus) placements and a Group Third (Judge: Leslie Rogers). We wrapped all of this up with two Best Puppy in Shows ( Judge: Doug Gaudin and Dave Markus)!! What an amazing way to finish his championship from the Bred By class.

Next we decided to head over the line to compete for his American Championship. I was very pleased that Caz at 13 months old, in his new big boy trim won the Variety each day from the Bred-By class for a couple of single points under Mr William R. Russell and Mrs. Donelle Richards.

Next I took Caz down to Redmond Washington for the Puget Sound Poodle Specialty, I was expecting puppies during that weekend and was so happy that Candace Hume of Tanzen Poodles agreed to show Caz for me. Caz and Candace did very well together getting Best of Winners at the Poodle Specialty (Judge: Faye Strauss) for his first Major and getting his second Major at the Sammamish (Judge: Kenneth Berg) show the following day.
